Terms & Conditions

NOTE:  Once Bermuda Bride’s services have been requested, a contract of our Terms & Conditions, specific to your wedding, will be  submitted for your authorization.

WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE THE WEDDING: Bermuda Bride will handle all administration, correspondence, arrangement of services requested, meeting with vendors and suppliers, all disbursements and on-site coordination prior to and during the ceremony (and reception if applicable) and all legalities. Bermuda Bride will act initially as an advisor, you will make the actual selections and Bermuda Bride will implement your decisions. Once your wedding arrangements have been determined, a detailed timeline and invoice itemizing your services will be emailed to you for your review and authorization or amendment.

BOOKING FEE: A non-refundable $1,300 booking fee is required to reserve your date with Bermuda Bride. Bermuda Bride’s services are officially retained as soon as this fee has been received and cleared.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Bermuda Bride reserves the right to reproduce any photographs, digital files and video taken on your wedding day for use in future marketing and social media. The digital images and DVD’s are for your personal use only. They cannot be duplicated for commercial use without the express written permission from the photographer or videographer.

ACT OF NATURE: If an act of Nature, such as fire, flood, earthquake, hurricane or other natural calamity shall cause your wedding to be cancelled, Bermuda Bride will only retain the booking fee (as stated above), regardless of when the cancellation occurs. The only other expense with-held would be a percentage of Food & Beverage fees for catered events.  Likewise, if such an Act of Nature causes one of Bermuda Bride’s recommended suppliers to be unable to provide the agreed-to service, you will not hold Bermuda Bride liable. Bermuda Bride will do its best to substitute comparable goods or services.

If an Act of Nature makes it either dangerous or impractical to proceed, Bermuda Bride reserves the right to postpone the wedding. The Client shall be notified in writing immediately, or as is practicable of such postponement. Bermuda Bride will work with both client and vendors to ensure the wedding takes place as soon as it is viable. The Client agrees to indemnify Bermuda Bride for any and all reasonable fees and expenses without limitation.

OUTDOOR WEDDINGS: If the weather forecasts predict excessive gusts of wind or heavy rain, for your safety, Bermuda Bride reserves the right to relocate the ceremony and reception (if applicable). In the case of bad weather and out of courtesy to the vendors, a decision must often be made the 12 – 24 hours in advance. There may be additional costs involved if a wedding is relocated.

EXPENSES: A 15% administration charge is added to your final bill to cover all disbursements: (paper supplies for photocopying, letters and faxes, local and long distance phone calls). It is not applied to our Bermuda Bride arrangement fee.

METHOD OF PAYMENT: All payments are accepted by personal cheque, certified bank cheque, Visa, MasterCard or American Express.  A 4% administration fee is added for all credit card payments.

CANCELLATION: If you choose to cancel your wedding and terminate this contract (in a situation other than “Act of Nature”), Bermuda Bride will need to be notified of the cancellation in writing. You will be responsible for any amounts that have been paid out on your behalf and all work carried out by Bermuda Bride up to the time of termination.  A percentage will be retained depending on the time frame in which the cancellation occurs.

PAYMENT: Full payment must be received no later than 30 days prior to your wedding date (Please allow 2 weeks for cheques to clear). If any payments are not received within this time frame, Bermuda Bride shall cease work on your wedding until payments are up to date.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE WEDDING: Bermuda Bride will courier your Marriage Certificate approximately 3 – 4 weeks after the wedding. If you have had a videographer, the DVD’s take approximately 6 – 8 weeks and will be sent separately. The completion and delivery of your photography disks will depend on the photographer you choose. All courier charges will be added to your final invoice.
